A few words from Efi
I wanted to start of by saying a BIG thank you to Susan from Gourmet Kids, for making our little 4yr old’s b’day so magical. Our experience from A to Z exceeded our expectations. Susan is very personable. We received that one on one customer service experience with that extra T.L.C that’s truly hard to find these days. Susan made us feel we’re not just a number, we’re all individual parents with different needs. She customised our party to best suit us. She actively listened to our vision of what we wanted our special celebration day to be and made it happen. Being a busy mother it was most comforting knowing I had a big thing off my ‘to do ‘ list taken care of. I sat back and did nothing, (what a load off), at the same time I felt I could have as much input as I liked... What was particularly impressive, being a successful business owner myself, I understand that with every hiccup, is also an opportunity to win or loose a customer. She’s definitely won us over. Initially the b’day party was scheduled for the Malvern site, however due to maintenance needling to be done, the site was temporarily unavailable. Susan took this opportunity and went above and beyond to compensate us for Relocating. 1st time at South Yarra, new venue to Susan and you wouldn’t know it. Was an amazing day. Thanks again to Susan and her friendly staff.

We had a great experience with Gourmet Kids at South Yarra for my sons' birthday. Spacious room, outdoor and indoor greeting areas, easy parking, great range of adult catering, all added to the success of the event. Susan and her staff are very friendly and patient with the kids. Cooking and other activities are all well organised by them. I have received wonderful feedback from other kids' parents attending the party. Thanks Susan and her team to make a such special day for my sons.
WOW! What a fantastic party! My 7 year old and her friends had a wonderful time. Upon arrival Susan was all set up ready to go, the children really embraced her and all the activities. The flow of the afternoon went smoothly and no stress on me as everything was organised from venue, food, activities and clean up. The treasure hunt was an absolute hit. Highly recommend Gourmet Kids parties 🙂
Our parties and classes use the following recipe for Success
- 1 cup of education
- 2 cups of fun
- 1 table spoon of mess
- A pinch of creativity
Mix all the ingredients together and you are left with a deliciously tasty memorable experience.

Gourmet Kids is a perfect cooking party venue children love creating and eating their own creation whilst being a chef for the day. We run a range of cooking classes from casual drop-ins and kinder sessions to school excursion sessions and holiday programs. There’s something for everyone aged 2 to 15 The children will discover educational benefits whilst cooking using math, science, reading, fine motor skills and social skills through hands on cooking classes.

Yes we run parties for teens!!! We think that at this age you have both the intellect and capability to design your cooking party and experience for yourself and your guests and we are here to support you pull this off!!

Just wanted to say how delighted we were with Jasmine's party yesterday and to thank you very much for the little extras you put on for us for changing the time. Jodie's face painting was just fantastic. In fact she is the best face painter we have seen - so artistic. The stick on jewels are a lovely added touch. Thanks also for the fruit platter. Your staff were so professional and great with the kids. You have an excellent business and I wish you all the success in the future.

From the first contact, it has been easy and enquiries and requests were attended in timely manner.
The all important cleanliness and hygiene were taken care of. The party was well coordinated. Catering for adults were taken care of. We are impressed of how the kids are served water instead of juices and fruits are available alongside all the party foods.
The kids were still talking about the party a few days after, how the cookies-making part was best. A few parents think it's a great idea to have a cooking party for this age group while they are really into it. A parent also said it was the best party the kids have been to for quite a while.
